Reportedly to manufacture Defender replacement, to be built in Slovakia. Hopefully not the start of the whole company moving out of the UK.

UK can't keep up with demand, so got to build new factories. They are building a big place in Brazil. Would say it is all down to demand and profit. It takes 6 months to get a land rover speced and shipped to the US. Not many on dealer lots, customer has to take what is there, Not what they want........ Lower labor costs, no union to deal with, lower taxes to be paid etc,etc........

A new factory, (in Slovakia), will create additional capacity and compliment Jaguar Land Rover plants in the UK, China & Brazil...

More than 80% of the vehicles produced being sold abroad, to more than 178 countries ...

Friend sells jcbs and there is officially one of jcbs 4wheeled products operating in every country in the world! That's impressive.

Every major car and construction vehicle manufacturer have factories/assembly plants dotted around the globe. It's not unusual and it's normally a sign that business is good for that company.
Most Kias you see on the road today are built in Slovakia.
