diesel can commonly enter the engine oil by 2 ways ,one leaking injector o rings and the other if head cracks around the fuel gallery, which means fuel enters rocker gallery and down into the sumpI think my oil level has risen. Can the diesel get into the rocker cover?
I’ve got a 400 mile motorway journey. Don’t want to wreck it! Might change the oil first.
top tips for removing the injectors without a slide hammer/puller anyone?
They’re out! No recovery unfortunately...
The o rings look fine. Copper washers have some dubious areas but nothing screams out. I’ve annealed them over the burner in our hot water boiler :-0
Think I’ll flip them over to give a new area for the injector to bite into.
I sort of discounted that as last week the pump relay packed in and it still worked fine although I couldn’t get over 50 mph. I’ve replaced the relay and 2 days later this problem... I took the pump out and fired up with the green hose off. Lots of flow. Same with the fpr temp sensor removed.OK, have you checked the fuel flow at the FPR?
the pump can fail on the high pressure side , so it does not provided enough pressure / flow to the head.
Cheers

I called my local independent who reckons it’s the ECU all day long. It’s less than 2 years old from Alive tuning so maybe some warranty...
It was fitted by the previous owner. But from recollection the receipt was for a new unit remapped to stage one. £900Did you have the older non-flashable ECU where they would have needed to replace the chip? It's possible the solder joints might have partially failed
