Hey Gary... I must admit I had the garage fit that as I don’t trust myself with electrics, so I just gave them the lot when I had some paint work done.
The brackets came with the light. I bought the kit from wilderness lighting. It’s wired to my main beam with an isolating switch in the car.
Thanks & you’re very welcome. Many thks, will check that out
Also good to see another disco owner , plus pics are great , thks for sharing
Hello and welcome.Hi folks... I’ve just signed up to this site. I’ve used it quite a bit in the past when looking for advice on various jobs I’ve done on my disco. It’s been quite helpful.
I’m not a big talker and probably won’t post much but I thought I ought to join anyway.
I currently own my dream car which is my 2009 D3 and I’ve owned it from new. I try to do as much as I can myself when it comes to maintenance and repairs but I’m by no means an expert mechanic.
I’ve recently got into the overlanding scene and have spent a fair amount kitting it out. Just come back from a tour of the Scottish highlands which I spent the whole trip sleeping in the back.
I would also like learn how to use her capabilities off road but I’m not into extreme stuff or joining clubs, but if anyone does a bit of the old green laning I’d be interested in perhaps joining in and learning from you.
Anyway hope to hear from you all at some stage.
Regards Damon

Sorry so long to reply Kevstar. I live in Gt Yarmouth and took the scenic route up the east, across the top & down the west incorporating the isle of sky and then back through Glen Coe. I followed the NC 500 from Inverness up to John O Groats then right across the very top to Ullapool then down and around Skye and home via Fort William and Glen Coe. Total miles from my house and back was 1847 miles. Cost best part of £500 in diesel but well worth it.What route did you take up north, any more pics of the trip.
