Can anyone shed some light on my issue please. Yesterday had a new compressor fitted due to old one filling to slowly went to collect the car yesterday and it had a suspension fault special programs not available also 30 mph bong. Took car back to garage this morning and they are inspecting it but they said a fault code of the exhaust valve is present. Is this a faulty new compressor or have they done something wrong. Thanks

I'm new to air suspension having recently got a range rover P38 but I'm reading and learning a bit.
If it's similar to a 38, and I bet it is, there is a lump called a valve block with lots of solenoids and stuff which use seals to stop or start air moving to where it needs to go. One of these is probably faulty. A compressor renewal wouldn't involve messing with the valve block much if at all, so imho it's not their fault.

I wasn't getting an instant suspension error prior to taking the car in they told me they could replace the compressor having picked the car up I cannot do anything with the new compressor fitted instant fault special programs not available and unable to higher or lower and the red suspension error 30mph if i go over 25mph. Was meant to be going away today which I've had to cancel. They are looking at it now.

I assume D3? if so you need codes, Icarsoft 930 is the cheapest one that will do the job, actually pretty good.
Which make of compressor did they fit? if you dont know which make, how much was it?

Yeah D3 it was replaced with a like for like arnott compressor. Does the eas need re activating or calibrating after fitting. Thanks

Like for like should be plug and play, but there are so many variables, kinked pipe/disturbed wiring, or just pot luck and something else has chosen to go wrong.
Did they also fit a new relay in the engine bay fusebox?

Yes new relay. Just returned from the garage who hadn't had time to look at it and will keep it overnight so they can get on it first thing tomorrow. One of them said the main mechanic has been in conversation on a forum (doesn't build me with confidence) and they reckon it's because it's not a Hitachi compressor and it's aftermarket and it won't work. Even though the same type came off. I get a feeling I'm going to be stuck with this now not sure where i stand regarding that having fitted the compressor the car is now in a worse fault than it was when I took it in. Not happy done at the least
