When I had mine done I supplied the fitter with some parts to replace...
New standard suspension springs (and some galv spring seating bracket/cone thingies purchased from a Welsh landcover suspension parts supplier, can't remember their name) The springs ended up being cheapest from a local LR dealer believe it or not. The new springs transformed the ride, felt like it was on rails compared to the willowy old springs.
Also had a new steel fuel tank (110 has steel, 90 has plastic?)
To compliment the galv rear crossmember I had a new galv front bumper, and galv tree sliders. That way I had a galv strip running all the way around the Defender at the same eye level, see the photos below.
New genuine windscreen wiper motor.
Consider stainless bolts where necessary.
I wish I had had a new wiring loom fitted, but I ran out of money
After all of that, it had a respray so went from this..
