Hi mate, have you had a quick look to see what the cause could be? I work in Port Talbot and will gladly have a nose at it to make sure its safe to drive if you want?

Had a look last night before getting a lift home and it looks to be the steering box input shaft is fubar (the UJs seem OK), had a look underneath to check the linkages on the steering as rod ends have all been done in the last few weeks, and drop arm joint and panhard rod bushes, all solid.
Checked the radius arms and they look to be the wrong size... I have some choice words for the previous owner and whoever fitted them.
Needless to say its a bit of pig of a job to do by the side of the road plus I really don't trust that its just that.

radius arms are too narrow, so move in the brackets and the steering box is utterly clunked - play in the input shaft and its leaking, so god knows what state the innards are in

Already spoken to the RAC, as I only have Roadside cover (I thought I had Recovery) they won't recover for this breakdown even if I upgrade it unless I pay a fair whack, so this would be plan B.
I have to say I'm pretty blown away by the response from LZers and very grateful.

Honest answer is not sure yet,manic all week and starting one Thursday needs to be handed over next Monday,if it goes well will be home by 2 Saturday,if not will be there until late,will know for definite Friday,sorry for being vague but trying to fit it around work and family ,Sundays a no go,taking kids out sorry,but will do my best to help
