hiya

i initially posted this in the anything goes section but as i spend most of my time in here hope it was ok posting it in here

i just wished to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for helping me with my hippo and for the very kind emails etc

as my wife is now very poorly and been beside myself with worry this forum has been a fantastic support for me and just wish to say how humbled i am in that we all have great banter between each other but on the flip side always help each other in times of need

thanks again guys for helping me through this and really do appreciate it

my wife has now suffered a collapsed lung and have drained 1.5 litres of fluid out of her abdomen

they took 3 biopsies and wont know if its cancer or not for at least a week, so ive been going round in a world of my own

by christ u never know how over night life can be turned upside down

not sure if u will be able to read the report , cant understand much of it, and dont wish to google it either

wanted to at least say how grateful i am and hope it was ok to post it in here as me not thinking as usual should have done in the first place

Hope all turns out to be well mate. We all get to each other when it comes to banter but when times are difficult we all stick to each other even if its just a tyre thread difficulty ;)

oh christ just got the results back and its cancer, ive got to see the matron tonight at 6pm so she can explain everything to me

they are going to let senga home this friday then she has got to go to maidstone for chemo etc

how the hell do i tell me kids, well there adults but not going to be easy

thks so much again guys for the great support but was really hoping it wasnt cancer but just need to be strong for her and hold her hand through this

oh ****, life sucks when u see loved ones hurting

Our thoughts are with you all Gary. Don't envy you one bit. Just be as positive as you can as they will all be looking for someone to keep their spirits up.
Hopefully the chemo will sort things out..that's the way to look at things.

thks so much for the support, ive told my daughter and have indeed told her all the information that ive received

my son is out tonight with his mates and decided not to tell him until tommorow , as its his birthday tommorow and thought a day wont make any difference and at least he can go out and enjoy himself, just hope his not annoyed with me but will explain why i didnt tell him

spoke to the matron tonight, its overian cancer and looks as though it may have spread into the bowel but wont know how far until monday

so dont know how big a mess weve got to deal with , but after a good cry today and giving myself a stern talking to going to keep strong for senga so i can hold her hand and help her through this, also when we go to maidstone hospital been advised to talk to macamillion nurses who can at least help us get through this one day at a time

just trying to get my head round it but at least i now know what we are dealing with and thk christ ive got u guys who i know i can turn to

know i need to be strong and will indeed do that, just knocked me for six and just feel so sorry for senga as i dread to think whats going around in her head,

they said they may allow her to come home till next week until she has to start her treatment so that will be nice , so she can at least get some peace and quiet and in her own bed

onwards and upwards and know every day is a day getting better, and know its not going to be easier but need to be there for her and the kids

Macmillan are absolutely fantastic, and will be there for you all no matter how long it takes to fight this off, My old Mar has had cancer 3 times now, over the last 12 years, and with the services of Canterbury and Maidstone Hospitals and the Macmillan staff she has pulled through each time,

I wish you every success mate, from the sounds of it your in the very best hands you can get..
