Sorry to say this but do i detect an arse twitching here?

Guys,
The MOT station details are:
CARLUKE MOT CENTRE
01555 751 050
Station number: 0818AE
I have checked and I am ok naming the station as it was MOT'd before the trader brought it, So VOSA are taking up the MOT issue as a seperate issue.
The MOT issue with the Trader is that the car should have been in a road worthy condition as previously mentioned, regardless of MOT it was not road worthy.
Fanatic, I will call you when I next recieve a corrispondance if thats ok.
Cheers

Not at all, nothing to do with me, but I was wondering about the whole time scale things. Just curious, that was all.
It doesn't seem right somehow, does it?
No doubt it will all sort itself out soon enough.

Look Guys,
this whole thing stinks.
I know most of the P38 RRs up here, but I don't know this story.
Any chance you can give me the Reg Number of this car?
Even better, give us the VIN number and let's see if it's been ringed or something.
What COLOUR is it? Like what colour is the one you bought?
Is there any chance of a bigger scam here than we think at this stage?

How do we know the person presenting the vehicle for MOT presented the same vehicle second time round? That's what I ask when this happens.
If you know the mechanic (and i use the term loosely) who passed the vehicle, tell him to apply for a job at the local pub. I have seen this before, VOSA will not allow testing at that station whilst he works there. So he is screwed.
Well that is possible, but very unlikely. To change the mileage to agree, the vin plate, number plates, get one the same colour is stretching the bounds of probability to it's limits. Clutching at straws would seem to ring a bell here somewhere. If the bloke who did it is going to use that one, i personally would think he is on a loser.
The mileage is easy to change on a P38, not encrypted at all.
I only know this after many months figuring out how to repair mine.
The VIN.......hmmm, I'm not sure where all the VIN markers are on a P38.
Number Plates is just screws last time I looked.
Colour.......P38's came in limited colours.
So I would think (excluding VIN as I'm not sure) if you had one the same colour the rest is simple.
This is all conjecture off course....
Many people on here would like to know how it is easy to change the mileage on a P38. I personally don't think it is that simple. There is a way to do it but not in a couple of hours. Think you are in fantacy land to be honest.
Think my car isnt the most common of colours - thats what I liked about it lol.

I agree.
Regarding the VIN plate, an MOT station will usually only check the main plate, there are some others on the chassis and things but usually under paint or grime and such and difficult to read. So all it takes is the plate being changed.
It would certainly be worth someones bother to get a dodgy vehcile an MOT.
Jay, I knew a P38 of that colour that was running about up my neck of the woods, not for a while I must add though.
have seen this done before - trader takes a vehicle in for test, it fails, takes vehicle away and returns in the afternoon with vehicle untouched and as the tester is so busy he just logs on and does a fastrack pass without visually checking the vehicle again.
