If you have visited the Butterfly Farm at Dobbies near Dalkeith I built the insect display and did the pumps and filters for the pond as I setup and owned Aquaworld on the same site...starting again soon a new room for tropical shrimps and my favs African Cichlids...

@kevstar fouls need a few of these for a Barbie...that's an alder cone in the centre for size comparison...and the crystal bee the red/white cost me 3€ each!...
I kept them when I was at home growing up. When I got older and started work I built myself an insulated 8ft square shed in the garden and lined it with tanks. My sisters boyfriend worked for British Gas and he fitted a tiny gas heater in the shed for me. I kept a range of fish. Some of the cichlids I remember were Cyphotilapia Frontosa and Neolamprologus Brichardi, but I had quite a few others. I had a piranha that grew pretty large. I also kept Killifish. I used to show them, it was very popular back then.In my opinion as colourfull as marine but less hastle...I specialised in Tropheus but just love them all...can't wait to get going again...

Brilliant! You're also bringing my memory back, I also had some Haplochromus Moorii and Aulonocara Nyassae. Sadly the Mrs hates fish and so there's no chance of me ever getting another tank. I had a tank dedicated to a breeding pair of Brichardi. They were prolific spawners and great parents.I started the same with a shed but ended up with Aquaworld...60 tanks,8 pond tanks and 20 pond plant trays and 4 staff...Brichardi love them the fairy cichlid...Hap Moori the blue dolphin was a fav and any Aulinocara...damn going to get the finger out next week and get started cleaning up all the equipment thats in boxes to start again...
