hi everyone does a 19j engine fit onto a series 3 gearbox and fit onto mounts need an answer asap if anyone can help

thanks

The 19J will fit the engine bay easily, and will mate directly onto the SIII gearbox with no more alteration than the removal of one of the bell housing studs (which doesn't align witht he SIII pattern - I can't remember which one it is, though).

The 19J's output is well within the SIII transmissions capability, and you only need to fit the SIII clutch plate to the 19J flywheel and pressure plate to make it all join together. Use a SIII release bearing and fit a new spiggot bush while you're at it - the SII-Tdi bushes are all identical, but if you leave a worn one in, you may get a problem of jumping out of 4th.

You will need to move the battery under the passenger seat, unless you make a custom cradle

Wow..so you have 2 posts ...and you get all arsey because people have been asleep and not immediately offered free advice as soon as they opened their weary eyes..

If you had been a little more specific in your 1st (out of 2) posts then maybe ideas would have been forthcoming...

Whilst this is a land rover forum it is also a place where humour and banter abound...its not a call up service for instant free mechanical advice.

In summary.

a) you posted in the wrong section
b) the question was vague
c) you have been impatient, rude and expected far more than you will ever offer back to the forum
d) you the hijacked a thread

I hope this is more informative than a simple ''**** off''...I notice nobody actually said that......

oh, and

e) you're a cock.
