Hi all

I have been diagnosing a Missfire so connecting the nanocom on and off for a bit. Finally got the missfire sorted but on the last attempt to check all the live data when I connected the nanocome to the socket it stays "dead". If I connect the nanocom to the PC via USB it works. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sorry to hijack this thread, but i may have a similar misfire problem, not really sure as it's only a feeling that something's not quite right.

I've got a nanocom and seeing your post about monitoring the live data and identifying a misfire on cyl 6, thought that would be much easier than pulling plugs to identify the culprit, so plugged it in, but I can't find where in the various menus (seem to have tried them all) it gives live data for the engine.

Can you give me a clue? (4.6 HSE GEMS by the way)

TIA Alastair.

I have the Thor motronic. For me just went to the motronic menu then roughness option. I'll see if I can get screen shots.

Thanks Mick, but I've just been on the nanocom forum and I suspect that Gems won't report in such detail as the THOR which has something called 'crank wheel adaption, Phase 1-4' for misfire detection.

Ho hum - back to the traditional way then . . .

Glad yours is sorted now.
