OK I have saved up a few bob and I'm now thinking of treating myself to a diagnostic tool for the Landy.
I now only have the disco 2 but who knows what else I could get in the future.
The hawkeye total covers whole range so that sounds good value and it may do key codes and injector codes as well but its not abundantly clear from web page.
I have other diagnostic tools but they just read codes and my d2 being a very early one may not have programmable ecu I believe.
Everyone seems to rave about nanocom but they are expensive.
What should I go for?
At the moment the only immediate job I have is to get a spare key!

A lot of folk are recommending the nanocom .
I got one off of a top bloke on here .
Fairly easy to use , even I can work me way round most of the bits and Bob's .
I think I'd does more that the Hawkeye unless your spending more that 1k

You would think the choice would be simple but you just cant get a straight answer.
nanocom certainly seems best but price is ridiculous.
bloody comms bollox

Having spoken to as many as I can the Hawkeye Total still looks best value and for me it can do all the immediate things I would want like key codes and injector numbers.
However, the key codes seem to need the bar code that came with them originally, meaning you cant simply code an old key to the vehicle.
For the extra money does the Nanocom code keys without the extra bar code and is that worth it?
