Hi

Whilst out walking yesterday I stumbled upon what appeared to be a stolen Discovery in the middle of woodland, dark grey N plate. Ignition cover removed and wires taped together. Looks like its been there for a couple of days.

If you think you may know who's this is or if its yours, please send me a message with the registration number and I will give you further info.

I reported it to the Gwent Police, but after giving up waiting on their non emergency phone line, I emailed them and haven't heard anything in over 4 hours.

Try ringing 101 during office hours to get through to the non emergency police line

I tried that when there were some cows running down the verge of the M1, it just rang out. So I called 999, 5 minutes later two police cars came flying past!

101 or go to the station is yer only hope
You never know it could be someone's pride and joy
With it being a disco yer could put an advert in welders weekly

In this situation as no one is in danger an it's not an emergency, then 999 shouldn't be used.
Disagree! 101 was tried and no response gained, the vehicle may have been used in another crime the importance/severity/degree of violence etc of which we have no way of knowing

Get in touch with the local paper and relay the whole spiel. If it's like our paper they will love it! Local polis will have a Facebook page, use that anorl, they will have to react if you shame them! .....they don't like it up em!!!!!

Because it's NOT an emergency as defined by the link I posted to the police web site. There's no point in creating hysteria over crimes which you imagine the vehicle may have been used in. Calling 999 because of the OP's first post is silly. It's a waste of the emergency 999 number. If as an individual you can't understand that, then shame on you.

In threads such as this it's common for the OP to put up a pic as proof, with location and registration details hidden. Someone may recognise the vehicle on ere. If the OP feels strongly the vehicle is suspect and has struggled to contact the police then a visit to the local police station would be the next move. Also search for the registration online as someone may be calling out for it.
