Mystery wire in boot...

Hi All,

I've started to sort out the common leaky boot issue tonight. I pulled up the carpet and found this wire, there doesn't seem to be a connection for it and the wires run off to the right hand side of the car. I took the right plastic cover off in the boot and these wires join the loom in there, thankfully it doesn't look like it's anything to do with the tow bar (I really hope not because I want to buy a small trailer soon). Does anyone know what it could be? I haven't experienced anything not working electrically at the rear so I'm stumped!

Whatever it is it's been sitting in water for some time so I doubt it will work

Is the amp not usually under the passenger seat?

Wow thank you for the quick replies! It makes sense if that's what it is. I don't have any ambitions to fit a sub woofer so will probably cut the wires unless anyone has any objections?

Or just leave it there like most people do and LR did from standard?

possibly a sub but it dont look like amp wires to me

If I object, would you really not cut them? And if you do cut them will it be the red wire first? :mil1:

If i do cut them i will cut the red wire first whilst humming the mission impossible theme tune :smokin:
