Mystery object ???

I think this is a drain channel ?? vaguely remember it lying in the bottom of one of my front doors (1997 defender), can't find reference to it in Rave or Microcat, reluctant to discard it if it will fit while finishing my refurb/restoration

It was a drain but apparently " they all do that"

Hi thanks for replying , I guess land rover wouldn't have put them in if no use ? So I maybe them falling off would have helped my doors to rust out ? As I'm going to the trouble of fixing the doors I would like to stick the plastic thing back on ,any idea where it goes ? Thanks

I believe near the door handle on the inside near the end of the widow rubber

Hence my initial post, I now have later doors fitted and they aren't part of the new assemblies
