Hey!
I've been trying to troubleshoot my engine problem quite a bit and haven't figured out anything yet. Getting tired of buying new parts blindly so i figured i'll ask if you guys have any ideas.
When i got the car it felt like it had underfueling maf, engine was quite dull under 2000rpm so i ordered Synergy 2 and pierburg MAF from RoverRon. Instead of fixing the problem, it actually got even worse. After measuring the voltages it seems like hes product and the maf he supplied are working perfectly fine, so the problem is somewhere else.
Car works perfectly fine with MAF disconnected. When MAF is connected, it has barely enough power to get moving at all. Can't drive on a highway unless i unplug the sensor because it doesn't go fast enough to keep up with other cars.
So far i've replaced MAP sensor, fuel rail pressure sensor and harness, fuel filter and MAF.
Injector leakback test shows that #3 has more leakback than others, so it needs to be replaced but i don't think it explain this problem since none of them leak that much. (7, 7.4, 12 and 7.6ml per minute on idle)
MAF Voltage with Synergy on 10 shows about 2.2v on idle, 3.05v at 1750rpm and 3.9v at 3000rpm. These seem tad high, but then again synergy is on the highest setting. Lowering it makes it worse.
Fuel rail sensor voltages are about 1.25-1.3v at idle regardless if MAF is plugged in or not.
Odd thing is, car had Bosch F00C2G2029 MAF in it when i got it, which actually reads very high numbers, like over 2.6v at idle. And the car works much better with this than with the pierburg that is giving correct 2.2v?
Could someone have programmed the car to use this F00C2G2029 MAF due to better availability and price and thats why it's not working with original spec maf anymore? Any other ideas what to test?
Oh, the car doesn't show any fault codes either, OBD nor manufacturer specific ones. No engine light on either.
