Mysterious bracket

Hi all. Ive just been putting the under tray back on my freelander 1 after having a new water pump fitted. I got as far as putting two of the front bolts in when i heard something drop so removed it again to find a bracket in the tray. Anyone got any ideas where it may have come from? Hopefully the picture uploads ok

sorry for the bad photo, you can see part of the bracket on it, conecting the sump to the "gearbox plate" under the IRD (not in picture)

Cheers thats the one. What size bolts do i need to put it back on as im guessing the old ones have worked themselves free. The sump wont leak with it not connected will it?
