Good evening all.

My roof is leaking and the water is sitting in the channel inside the roof above the drivers door. When i brake my knee gets wet.

So far i cleaned out all the crap out of the panel seams on the out side of the roof with a wire brush and put in seam of tiger seal with a mastic gun.

My roof is still leaking and my thoughts now is the water getting in from the out side gutter maybe?

I have ran my hand along the channel inside the car and its only wet above the drivers door.

There is some cracks in the sealer thats in the outside gutter.

Any one been down this path also?

Cheers landy-lee

The channel inside and outside is the same piece of metal, the alloy roof skin rivits to it. Water gets in where the skin touch's the channel and through loose rivits.

Lee,

Once the channel is cleaned out and dry run a bead of tiger along it.

Take the roof lining out and check that the seams are not leaking. Again tiger on the inside and the outside if it is. I used masking tape on the outside to ensure the bead is neat.

Also, do you have alpine windows? Check the seals and replace if it is going hard. I fitted mine with a bead of tiger seal.

You can make it water tight.

They all leak, if they don't what's the point of having a Landy. We may as well all by Dacia Dusters
No they don't , a combination of sealant and Captain Tolleys creeping crack cure, solved it for me. I had a leak by the top of the door seal. So I greased the frame and pu sealant into / on the door seal , then shut the door and left it to dry. . That fixed it.

Mine did this - I followed the advice of that nice Ozzy Youtuber and it sorted the problem once and for all. Strange job - filling where there don't seem to be any cracks but the right result comes from doing it. Mine was worst if I parked on a slight uphill in the rain suggesting it was getting in through the roof seams rather than the gutter cracks - but did all just to be on the safe side. I don't miss the waterfall at first time of breaking.
