We tried it without the backbox first as I cut it just before the box, and it was a bit on the loud side.... But thinking of it we were in a barn, maybe the sound was echoing?

Just been watching top gear and the noise of them v8's was immense

Don't bother removing the backbox, as others have said it just increases the volume but does nothing for the character of the sound, just makes it sound like a chavmobile... I speak from experience

Ok guys thanks for the advice ill get it through mot first then look at exhaust mods etc...
Also why I'm on would anyone know where I can get the t piece that is on too of the engine from what I can work out its for the brakes as when the engines running I have no pressure in the pedal but when its not running they feel fine..
I believe its something to do with the vacuum??

All up and running passed mot with a few small advisories, love the car but the cost of petrol is crippling me so iv aquired a 300tdi engine and auto box to swap over. Thinking of just swapping the bodys
