Evening all,

Finally collected my Defender and am over the moon! Already done a couple of lanes in it with chickzilla doing alright on the map! Couple of scratches from the overgrown parts but I think it looks a little better with them :D

Any one have an idea of the make/model of the wheels. Can't see anything stamped on them and insurance folk want to know?

Very nice indeed. Wish I could convince the OH about getting a 110.

Chickasaurus loves the 110 which you think would be a good thing!! We don't live together at the moment and when I look out the window I see her Saab parked on my drive :(

She says the clutch is heavy and now her left leg aches, not ideal as she a fitness instructor. That'll teach her!!

Hahaha, like her style, get you to buy it so she can drive it. I'm about to learn how heavy the clutch is on a manual when I pick up my new project next week. My current one is an auto so I'm spoilt.

Cheers for the comments all. I'm well chuffed. 61k on the clock all MOT certificates and appears to have done minimal off roading despite being an ex G4 challenge, the engine bay is still orange. I took a mate with me to check it over who raced across Baja and Mexico in his 110 back in the day and he pointed out a serious lack of scratches etc on the chassis. Going to make some enquiries on the G4 website but previous owners says it was one of Landrovers display vehicles.

It has loads of extras on it such as; overdrive, AC, stainless exhaust, larger intercooler, ecu upgrade, vented braked, up rated suspension, exmoor high back rear seats and some other bits and bobs including me spending a shed load on security!!

Al, thanks for that mate they're the ones!!

Medusa, yeah something like that. Though I'm sure I read somewhere there's something you can do to make the clutch a little lighter. I'll look into that one day.

Cheers Polsta. I probably paid a little over the odds really but it has so much on it and has been well looked after and was bought from insurance money as my van was pinched.

Not sure what the difference would be from a 90 to 110 but with half a days green laning, and about a 60/40 split motor way/town driving I had 27.71 mpg to the tank. I'm pretty happy with that as once the novelty has worn off (a little) I don't tend to use my vehicle much as the fun controller her car, I have a couple of bikes and use of a work car.
