So my beast of an M62 with a fully rebuilt engine, timing chains complete kit new head gaskets etc mite be for sale in the new year. As with my last car the v8 P38 4.6 the ulez zone means I can't drive it without paying the 12.50 daily charge. Iv been using the sport supercharged as my daily.....I prefer the full size range rover.
The elections are next year April or may for a new tosspot of London but seems the current one is ahead. I'm still trying to get it approved but the nox level is over the limit on the V5 odd as identical cars are just under and no one can explain why.

The other candidates say they will scrap the charge if they get in.......let's see. Until then it's in storage still insured its getting an mot shortly iv got it outside the zone so I can drive there collect it drive away from London then drop it back again when I'm done...bit extreme tho.

If anyone is interested and well outside the elez tax zone drop me a message it's got lpg I pay 89ppl at my localish garage. X5 genral grabber at3s so a grands worth of tyres. Everything works and I mean everything.

Have a look at my posts on the car iv no idea how to price it so I won't I just want a good home for it if I can't keep it.

It's difficult to put a price on it I would say 3kish would just about recover the engine rebuild and tyres I don't expect a lot for it just want it going to a good home more than anything. I don't want someone pulling the rebuilt engine out and dropping it into there bmw 5 series .
Iv got a whole load of the rebuild photos to upload and the rest of the work iv done is well documented on here.

A few pics of the engine rebuild both hg and timing chain kit and guides.

Hi, I am not a million miles away in surrey and would be interested. if you can pop me a few pictures across and I can arrange to pop over and have a look after the new year :) Jon

Hi all
I will get some decent photos up in the new year its at my mates place outside the zone. It's in pretty good shape even if I am biased.

Popped up to check it out today after the storm last night iv not run it for a few weeks since its mot early December it drove superb as always started 1st turn of the key switched over to lpg after 10 minutes warming up. Put an optimate on it just to keep the battery topped up. Lpg tank is full it will need a good wash after sitting a while the air suspension rose up straight away iv sorted the tyre mentioned on the mot advisory. I'm still hoping the ulez get cancelled as this is my dream car.

Forgot to mention I fitted working flappy paddle mod from the fullfatt forum think I was 1 of the first to fit it.

Having driven this recently I realise just how superior it is to any other car iv owned. Its election time soon for the London tosspot if we don't get a new 1 and ulez isn't scrapped I honestly think it will have to go......

We can live in hope....they were out installing a vast amount of new cameras recently in a very poor part of londinium ...Erith. Every single camera was being fitted outside all the local schools because they are poor deprived areas and the car using parents tend to run older non compliant cars.
But hey pay 12.50 and you can pollute as much as you like

Well it's comming up to election time for us poor ulez victims I'm hoping we get a new London tosser. I'm planning on using my beast for a short while to make sure it's in tiptop condition . If we don't get rid of ulez it will defo be up for sale. We have again thought about moving if they bring in pay per mile then it's a no brainer.

If the ulez goes I'm keeping it !!!

Hi mate

Didn’t realise it was next Thursday the 2/5/24 , would be good if Howard cox from the reform uk and the founder of the Fair Fuel UK campaign was elected but think he’s got bob hope with all the lefties , wouldn’t surprise me if the little dictator got in again , then I bet the pay per mile will follow suit

see there’s also Susan hall who said she will scrap ULEZ immediately

Suppose we can only cross our fingers mate , but at the end of the day will be such a shame if u have to sell it

I very much doubt ULEZ will be scrapped. There's a small chance the proposed expansion will be canned, but l will be surprised if that happens.

Whoever says they are going to do it will certainly get a load of votes. But once in power they've got to actually do it, and that's not a given.

More likely it will be "discussed" and nothing will happen except maybe some exemptions for certain vehicles such as motor homes.

I think he’s had to many voters imported to lose, hope I am wrong for you people.

So London has fallen we didn't get a new London tosser we're keeping the old one they were out in force shouting Allah akxxxxxx after confirmation of the vote.

So I will now be seriously looking to sell my m62 v8 petrol on lpg with a gully rebuilt engine.:mad::mad:
