Hello, just thought I would post a picture if my first disco, it's the second land rover I've owned and it needs the entire boot floor replaced and a patch in the rear cross member, drivers side passanger window doesn't want to go up or down so will need to sort that too. Apart from those things it's pretty good!
 
Well, I had a busy day yesterday, the boot floor is almost finished but my mate ran out of welding gas so thought I would change the a frame ball joint and the bushes, swap the old nasty brown transmission oil out, replace the panard rod bushes with poly and swapped out the leaky vacuum pump. The vacuum pump involved a lot of swearing and swapping from getting underneath and getting on top of the engine. Its getting there slowly.
 
Well I've decided to take next week off work to try and get the mechanics out the way on the disco then crack on with the body work.

Firstly I need to find where the leak around the oil filter housing is coming from, after doing some research it can be coming from about 4 different places around the housing, its leaving a rather large puddle under the front diff! Replace the cylinder head, or at least get it skimmed and pressure tested and bosh a new gasket on. Might as well do the timing belt whist I'm clambering about in the engine bay. Fix the stiff diff lever and get two slow punctures repaired.

I know it won't take a week to do all that but I want to give myself enough time just incase I come across some more surprise little jobs. Hopefully pictures to follow!
 
Well I've managed to get the cylinder head off, just need to clean the top of the block and get the rest of the gasket off, its well and truly on there!
