Not bad in a month with the weather we had and I don't have a garage lol
I leave my bush wires on all the time, have a traffic cop in e family and not even he has ever mentioned them! Think its one of those 'grey areas' lol
mine seized last weekend on a day out on the plains..just cut the belt off and done another 3 hrs playing and drove homeWell the alternator didn't last on way home from work on the dual track an the battery light came on so what did I do.... Put my foot down to get as far as I can lol but had to pull over when I seen the smoke lol I pulled up in the car park by a pub and opened the bonnet to plooms of smoke and a red glowing alternator, the bearings were shot and it was that hot it looked like it was going to catch fire so I stood on the bumper with cock in hand in the middle of the car park and cool it down lol at least the ****y steam covered me a bit
yep just cut belt off once engines running its fine..u can use electrics until all the charge has gone in the batteryWhat so I could of still drove it with out the belt ? I was about 10 mile from home, I had all my tools in the back but there's naff all I can do with out an alternator I got the flood lights out when I got back and took it off just got to find one tomorrow now so I can get bk to work at 16:30
if its a 300 you can't drive it without the alty belt as it will overheat and boil itself. its a serp belt that als drives the waterpump on the 300tdi
