Hi guys can you please help . Today my disco 1 v8 has a problem :( I drove to garage to put some lpg and petrol in . On way home she would not run on lpg as she just stopped :( so drove back on petrol. I then tried numerous times to try and make her run on lpg! No joy but as I kept trying to start here it kiilled the battery
So put charger on and left for some hours, it showed fully charged , so jump in cab put key in and nothing no dash lights, no usual noises she is totally dead :( has anyone had this happen? I'm at a total loss as to what to check ! AGHHHHHH SO I TRY TO fix one problem and now have 2
Please any advice
Many thanks

Firstly I'd check all the earthing straps just to make sure they have a good contact with the body and haven't broke or are rusted up.

If you drained the battery trying to start it, then depending on the age of the battery it could just be dead
Once it's charged, measure the voltage, then turn the lights on and measure again. If the lights work and the voltage is over 12 then get someone to try starting the engine for you and see what happens to the volts

Afternoon guys, well big thank you for the earth strap advice. Yes it was corroded but no now, all working as it should do electrical wise and running sweet. Still issue with lpg not kicking in so back to drawing board on that one.
Thanks again really appreciated the advice

Glad you got sorted!
Does the crossover switch light up? Does it start on petrol of you switch it? If it's not lit then check the main fuse coming off the battery connection

Hi kermit, at last lpg working ☺ went through everything and eventually found the gremlin in the system! It was a wire on a solenoid. Looked ok but when I pulled the cover off the wire was not attached to the spade so redid it checked and replaced some other loose ones and hey presto all is good in my world
Again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all the others who have got me out of **** reek with your technical know how and knowledge
Cheersguys
