Hi everyone
Basically i bought a R reg Discovery 300tdi 2 days ago, and yesterday i jumped in at 7 am for work, it fired up straight away and i drove to work and back which is 80 miles away and it was perfect i love the thing it drives perfectly with no unusual noises etc, but today i got up for work and it would not start
it just turns and turns and wont even try
i had the AA come out, he opened bonnet looked and said (i don't really no much about these), he then towed me round the block twice and said sorry cant help..... Thanks a bunch mate lol ...
anyway i put another 15 litres of diesel in just to be safe, still nothing, so one of my friend came through, and he seems to think the lift pump has gone,
as if you take the pipe off which goes from the lift pump to the diesel filter then prime the lever there's no diesel comes out of the pipe... would this be correct
i appreciate the help people,
also the red light goes out as it should when you put the key in the ignition, so im assuming the immobiliser is not at fault.
thanks again
