Come back again this morning to try and fix what I've broken.

Managed to round off bolts and bend the linkages cause I left the box resting on them overnight. And still haven't found the magnet so I reckon that's the end of this conversion.

Didn't think it would be anywhere near this difficult and it's gotta be out the workshop today so will be getting dragged back to my yard and then broken for spares in the summer.

Come on bud you can't give up now! I know it's a pig of a job I've changed gearbox and clutch on my own on the driveway with nothing more than an engine crane. So it's doable.

Shame you don't live closer or I'd be round to help. :)

Yer replaced the gearbox at home before but that was manual for manual swap.
Converting this from auto to manual has just been a complete disaster from the beginning.
Best bet to to keep any nice bits I can afford to and buy another manual 3 door for next winter if I can afford it.

Well after discussing it with the missus and my mate we decided that if I break it I will get feck all and it will be a real struggle to find another one as clean as mine as or though one of the rear arches needs replacing all he other parts have been done.
So plan is to tow it back to my workshop this weekend where it can can stay till the weather warms up and then I can set about sorting the gearbox and however fitting the new axles and locker ready for next winter. :)
