My Landry was running fine until one day it lost power and did not sound right when I got home I checked the oil and there was none where could it have all gone

Leaked out?

Did you check the oil levels often?

Been used up by the engine due to a fault. Has it been smoky?

Did it overheat when it lost power?

Not many people check oil any more, a friend of mine hasn't opened his bonnet since he got the car two years ago:eek:

Wow, I check mine at least weekly. Well all fluids actually and tyre pressures.

Whatever happened to preventative maintenance?

Cars are so reliable these days people dont check and dont change oils as they should so turbos blow and heads get the rattles.

Modern engines would last twice as long if oils were changed regularlyI do mine twice a year but will admit to not checking oil weekly because it doesn't use any.

I own a Land Rover, I check the engine oil level, coolant and PAS fluid at least weekly because... she's a Land Rover! There's no evidence of leaky diffs or transmission. Well there is some, but not enough to drip on the floor :D

Diff.

No warnings plenty black smoke and then white smoke I never checked it for 2 and a bit years as no warning lights or over heating I put 5 litres in yesterday and it was running mint but today it conked out I got it going again and went straight home
