Well iv'e had the chassis for a year nearly now so at Xmas i decided it was time to start the rebuild. I was oping to have it all done buy now but have been suffering with back problems so things have gone a lot slower than i wanted.Anyways here's some pics of the progress so far.
Pile of bits for the electroplaters
Time for the repairs to start.
New seat belt mounting brackets made.
Seat box repairs and a new deeper battery box made.
Back panels in the tub.
New rock sliders made.
New inner sill's made and plated.
Pile of bits back from the platers.
Bars welded on axle for the pipes and new front diff pan
Axels blasted,painted and finished.
Shocks rubbed down and repainted.
More bits back from the platers.
Chassis, primed, painted and a new crossmember made.
Tank done with a new feed for the diesel heater.
Engine stripped and rebuilt using a Turner engineering performance head.
New radiator and inter cooler cores. I will be using the original ends of the intercooler but the radiator will be having new ones on as i am running a separate oil cooler. A lot cheaper than the ally sport ones as well .
New pins been made for mounting the radiator.
Bulkhead was beyond economical repair so i managed to find a very good puma one cheap just needed a bit of altering to suit my needs.
Slowly starting to come back together now.
