mushroom snorkel top problem

recently bought a mushroom top for my homemade snorkel. only problem is the mushroom is 80mm diameter and the guttering is 68mm. how can i attatch the snorkel top?

With a reducer. exhaust reducer or similar maybe? weld it on?

its plastic guttering so cant weld it on. i will try an exhaust reducer

lots of gaffer tape round top of pipe.then youl always have some to hand when something falls off

Get a spare strip of down pipe and cut it so you can spring it open, use solvent weld adhesive and glue it to the outside of your snorkel. If the mushroom top is still loose repeat the process but this time cut the strip in half and glue the 2 halves over the top of the first strip you fitted.

Buy one the right size or use the right size pipe

use a large inner tube from a push bike to make a rubber adaptor. Make it short enough and itll be stiff enough and also itll not collapse.

i been makin mine today too but didn't get time to get to paddocks to buy a dome so i got the same problem on monday

ive got piccies somewhere of my homemade snorkel already on lz. i bought the top second hand and the paints flakey and looking a bit tatty so bro is gonna shotblast it at work and respray it for me

mine fitted to the 2 1/2" drainpipe fine.

tis securing me axle / gearbox breeva pipe, which runs up the rear of the snorkle.
been replaced wiv a black one now, which is less obtrusive.

Yep got my breather pipes to do and gotta replace the air filter hoses in the engine bay.
