Help please! My Disco 3 2007 SE Auto was working fine. Got in her today and she would not start (not turning over) and I cannot move the gear selector from Park. I also received 3 fault alerts. 1, Parking brake fault. 2. Transmission fault. Limited gears available. 3. HDC fault system not available. The only other thing I noticed was the lock symbol on the raising and lowering selector is illuminated.
Would be most grateful if anyone can help.

I havent got a D3 but had similar issues with my old L322 Range Rover. They are very complicated cars and very reliant on delicate electronics and are liable to throw up all sorts of errors if the battery voltage drops. Thats where I would start looking if I were you, check the voltage with a meter, should be around the 13v mark. I have read they go doolally if it drops below 12v.

In the end I got sick of the Rangey's unreliability and bought a D2 instead, much less to go wrong.

Have bought and fitted a new varta battery but to my huge disappointment found that nothing has changed. Cannot start the engine, cannot move the gear selector out of park and the same three fault messages appear went i switch on the ignition.
Any other suggestions much appreciated

:) Success! Found that the 10amp fuse "F30" blown. However, when I replaced it it immediately blew again. Then found that F25, also a 10amp fuse had also blown. Replaced that and then replaced F30 again, this time it did not blow, and she started and no more error messages. Now, of course, I am wondering why F25 blew in the first place! Still I now have a cool new battery (and a spare!).
Thanks for the help.

Glad you are up and running again. Suggest you do a little detective work to find out what the fuses are for, may give you an idea what caused them to blow in the first place. In my experience, they rarely blow for no reason at all.
