Mud Flaps

as im new to 4x4s i dont think ill be that deep in mud just yet, im happy to over speed bumps faster than a car at the moment

if yer speed bumps are anything like the ones round here there aint a vehicle or speed suitable to go over em.

hi

just got my land rover mud flaps, however i didnt get any screws with them so i guess I would use the old ones except they are so rusty they fall apart. I have been told by land rover and lr centre liverpool i can not buy the screws. So what other options can I consider??

The screws are no more than just screws with wide flanges. I used just some similar size thread screws and washers and they held the mudflaps on better than the screws i hadn't replaced.

I just googled engineering supplies cheshire and got loads of results.If you take in the old screw im sure youll get sorted.

Where abouts in Cheshire are you? From Crewe myself. Theres a fair few places i know of where you'll get them around South Cheshire. Infact you'll get screws and washers from your local halfrauds.

Also, Someone else from county cork! I'm living in the city at the moment.

after a few days of wondering what mud flaps to fit I caved and bought some genuine land rover ones......and i know we all said they are rather poo, i did get the front and back, few months old for 20 quid so if i do lose them then it wont be to bad and if i do then ill get sparco ones lol

Hi mate, I know this is an old thread. I have some Genuine rear mud flaps for my 56 Freelander1 I need to fit. A couple of things:

Did you use the holes that have screws in which hold on the plastic wheel arch?
If so ... I have a third hole at the bottom of the mudflap ... do I need to make a bracket to fix it?

Any advice or guidance would be very much appreciated.
