thanks Datatek, so does it just fool the ecu into giving more fuel or is it some other way?

The only possible way of increasing power on a diesel engine without modifying anything else is to inject more fuel. So the answer to your question is, it injects more fuel.

Just thought I would share this info.

I fitted a PSI Powerbox a few hunderd miles ago and the dash said 27.7 at the time and was on that figure for a month or so.

It has now risen to 28 and it may keep going up with a bit of luck.

So I'm very happy to have extra power and better fuel economy.

:)

Well going by my sums, you've saved 10% of the cost of the Unit so you've only got another 12600 miles to go and you'll get your money back.

Happy motoring. :)

Thanks wammers, so is it safe to say that on my manual it would be impossible to hold onto higher gears for longer without sacrificing more fuel hence countering out any fuel efficieny? Mind you, if it stayed the same efficieny but with more power i would be out to get one right now!

One last question, if i later got a larger intercooler/v.v.turbo or any other enhancement, would the box auto adjust as the engine ecu inputs would change? Or would a remap be in order?
