Mounts

Going to be swapping my tired defender 300 and tbox with stuff from a disco of a similar year. My budget only really stretches as far as new fluids, filters, timing belt and a couple of seals, so I'm hoping to use the engine and gearbox mouunts from the disco for now as I know mine are old.

Are they interchangeable between defender and disco?

New engine and gearbox mounts are about £20 for all four

Non of them, he wants to know if the rad/intercoolers themselves are the same between disco/Defender 300 TDI.

Yes they are, the only difference is the frame that holds them in place

Yeah. While I've got the engine out I'm going to change seals too, what are advisable to do on engine, gearbox and t box?

My attitude is if it isn't leaking leave it alone

Apart from the rear oil seal behind the flywheel

There's some huge price differences on buying knackered discos on eBay, one went for 1100 quid the other day with no mot whilst another was 103. Mine was 510

Haha, if only we got snow anymore

I've picked one up for £450 i'm taking what I want off it then a guy down the road is having it for 50 quid as I don't have anywhere to break it and store parts unfortunately
