if the corrosion is within 30cm of the brake servo, brake pedal mounting etc, then it will fail.
failed ever so slightly on emissions, tester says engine wasnt hot enough, need 2 new seatbelts, frayed, and ive no brake lights.
bulbs are fine, connections seem fine, could it be the brake switch?
How do i get the thing out, looks like a tight squeeze on the n/a 110, very little room to manouvre.

Almost certainly the switch. Unplug the wires, then unscrew it comes right out. Take it apart, clean the contacts, put it back in, mine has worked for 2 years since i did this.
