Just picked the Disco up from the garage & he has passed it but has put an advisory to change the link bar from the anti roll bar to the axle. (passenger side)
Now before I go out & but a new one and set to removing the buggered one is there a setting to adhere to or is it just bung it on & tighten it up?

Do you have to tighten it when the road wheels are all down?
Ball park cost?

Any help appreciated, it will make a change to do something on the truck & it not be sub zero.

Bolt it on, have fun getting the old one off though, most likely the ball will spin I the socket so make sure you have a junior hacksaw handy and use WD40 spraying it on every 20 mins for an hour or so before, even better an air gun will generally whip the nut off by pure force and speed.

I've had advisories before (sometimes 6+) that I've ignored then they have never been mentioned again!! I'm not suggesting do nothing, just saying. (I'd probably have to wait for it to break before justifying spending actual money on it). Still saving up for two rear hubs!

Take the wheek off and use a grinder. BUT when you get the new one make sure you get the nuts as well, they don't come with new nuts as standard any more. Double hit from the manufacturers, reduce cost (no nuts), extra revunue (sell nuts). Didn't realise this until I took the drop link out of the box to fit !!

I agree, all the ones I've done in the past came with nuts. When I rang the supplier he said none of them do any more but he had them "on the shelf". Fat lot of good as I needed them on the link bar and not 15 miles away in a box !
