And the weather for the week is...

 Thinking about getting a tent...

Cheap garden gazebo (£20 ish). Worked a treat for me a number of times. This time was a bent front shock/damper rod .. bent enough to stop all movement!

It was damn frustrating not being able to do anything today

So I'm probably gonna get one of these, It'll be a permanent "garage" for the landy.

Im concerned by the quantity of pain that would involve!

I like the tent, soon as youve got the space it would be nice. But after this gazibo talk i went and got the gazibo out. Just the canvas not the poles, threw it over the roof, tied it to the roof rack and the engine crane, and after 10 minuits of getting wet i can now work on it and stay dry. If you do get one of those tents, youll find every landyzone member in surrey queing up on the drivway. (I will be anyway). :D

That one looks good, weve got one but ive never used it because its all pole construction means you need about 3 people to put it up and it just keeps falling to bits if theres any wind.

Look at it closely .. one of the pieces in the pic is wooden, a replacement! What you don't see is that it's a small gazebo. Most are 3m x 3m, this was 2.4 x 2.4, and most of the pieces on the side the pic was taken are also wood .. it just kept breaking, probably why it was so cheap. But it did the job for a few years, though it's gone now!

Woods gaffer tape all the joits when you assemble it we use the same gazebos for rc flying comps in silly wind and rain always worked for us. Jai

20 quid argos gazeebo roll of gaffa tape tie the fecker down and you could be playing, we used them at a comp in Holland we launched the aeroplanes and they went backwards baring in mind they do 60 plus miles an hour it was bloody windy and the gazebos wasnt too battered.

Yea Yea, but do you know how cold it was today, the gazebo would not have saved me from frostbite :D

Think I'm gonna take it to Kris'es place :D

Rich are you available Thursday to help me fit the tent ?

If so, bring Storm !

Yes i am! Storm will be most pleased too. Also....I HAVE FOUR WHEELS ON MY WAGGON!!!!!! :5bparty:

Hi lift brakets fitted too, for the top i have used the body-chassis bolts on the rear cross member, just elongated one of the holes on each bracket, ideal! Door opens freely too.

Still got to do the cross member in front of the fuel tank, but should be simple once i drop the fuel tank out, ill do that bit in a minuit. Then the MOT. in fact im dreding cleaning it out more than welding this last bit. If i find any more rust when im down there i promise ill stick some cardboard on it and waxoil it for the MOT.

Do you have your roof rack on the wagon yet, or is that first thing on thursday? What time are you going to get there?

Rich.

Hope you never had a smoke last night :D

Eventually planning to move the mud console from the cooker housing to the dash :D

That does look very good, perhaps too good, at least you will look after it then! (Right?)  Do you have a set of sunglasses on hand for when you turn your lights on?

I dident smoke but if i was gona it wouldent have crossed my mind that it was a problem! My poor nabours tryna sleep, i was constantly tripping over spanners and tools..."pinggggg ping pingg"....

I know what you are saying, it looks too new  I'll will be happy when it is a bit more faded, but yes I will try and look after it as much as possible ;)

Not sure about tomorrow, we need a couple of dry hours to fit the tent, and tomorrow looks pretty wet, I'll give you a call in the morning. Sat is looking better, you working again Fri night ?
