Hi everyone,
I know the common fix to a freelander is to burn it, but I was hoping for some other ideas to try first
Here is the outline - had the ird, supports, mounting brackets and bushes all changed approx 4 months ago and now most of the time she behaves herself and we don't get any clunking from the rear at all....EXCEPT when I have been giving the right foot a bit more pressure, then at the end of the journey - turning into a car park space, clunk clunk clunk and then as you stop one final clunk
if I start the engine and drive off immediately no more clunk (if I take it steady that is!!!)
Now the question
What am I missing?
Is the IRD winding up and releasing when I stop and if so how can I stop that or do I have to drive steady from now on....
