Oi I resemble that remark

Okay I get on your nerves bit, but has your patience not payed off? Quite few I’ve helped with what youve shown me, besides myself.
Wazza is a good guy, he speaks his mind which I quite respect in this PC crazy time, but he will help whoever he can and does regularly with positive results :)

People who don't listen get on my nerves. Keith asked a question and did not like the answer simple as that. I will help anyone but some will not accept the answer. If you are convinced you know more than the person you are asking why bother asking. You will note i NEVER ask questions on here i don't have to. The fact remains that providing all else is good a car with a viscous fan and shroud fitted will settle at a temp lower than one with them removed.

It's the temperature of the fuel in the injection pump that matters. With cold fuel and the engine running at 750 RPM the internal pump will make more pressure than it does with warm fuel. Needing more modulation. The warmer the fuel gets the less modulation is required. That is why modulation check is done at idle with engine up to temp. Without a viscous and shroud no air is being blown over the engine or drawn through the rad. So the temps can never be really be normal and stable. It will always be higher without a viscous and shroud. Until his aircon fans kick in there is no cooling effect at all. So the engine will run hotter at idle than it should be doing. Giving a false modulation reading.
Complete bovine excremnt

I know what's being asked, it is a daft question. The answer is as always, when the engine is up to it's full idle temp at 750 RPM.
But you still cannot say what up to temp is at 750 idle, is it 80C when the stat opens or the stable peak temperature? Before removing the viscous & shroud I used an NTC sensor and a digital multimeter to measure temperatures and ascertain the normal running temperature. A sample of one car true but likely to be representitive.

No i have no bee in my bonnet about his electric fans. He asked a question of me he got an answer he didn't like. End of story.. If you don't care STFU.

Just shows you know nothing that does.
People that throw insults around are usually trying to cover up that they do not know the answer. if you knew what "up to temperature" was you would have been ramming it down our throats in your usual belligerent manner long ago.

Up to temperature means it's as hot as it's going to get at that RPM and normal cooling system. How hard is that for you to understand. You really are starting to sound silly.

I don't really care anyway, I was just trying to word it differently so you might understand what is being asked but you clearly either don't know or don't want to tell.

Shall they check one at 1pm BST in Tesco carpark on 1st August 2020 and another at 1am GMT in Tesco carpark on 1st December 2020 ...

Any guesses on whether they be different by a degree or two ?

And no matter what the temperature is, it is going to vary constantly within set limits as the thermostat opens and closes and the viscous fan / aircon fans switch in and out. And if that then alters the modulation then it is interesting. I accept it doesnt really affect me cos I have a V8 which I assume will be different.
I am with you RRdt
