Once that 10 pence was there they look plenty big enough.

Are you going to Earth the positive terminal?

So long as he videos and posts up the results, yes earthing the pos terminal will be a really good idea

Lol, ooops.

I meant fuse, fuse the terminal.

Damned I was hoping for some sparks there:D
The MEGA fuse holders as pictured in the D3 pic above are nice and neat 150amp fuse is more than you will ever need.

Which picture?
This one

Fused is the safest way (can always carry a spare just in case), not sure what sizes they do but if you are planning on using them for jump starting I'd aim for something in the couple of hundred amps region. High enough not to blow if jump starting but not that big that it won't blow if you short the terminals

The reason i fitted a 150a fuse is that at work we run the same anderson plugs on the trucks x150 and its what we use to jump start them, smallest is 7 litre and largest is 13 litre all are fused at 175 with the odd one at 250 but all get 175 when they have popped.

I never fused the series and the 90 as the cable run is so short it would be difficult to get it on there, but as the anderson is self insulating and theres no real way to short them I didnt see any reason to fuse them, but the ones you are going to fit I can see an accident happening there one day when your mind is elsewhere.

If you've ever seen a battery shorted out you'll fuse it! Like little bombs the short circuit amps is few thousands for a second. Makes a mess, melts stuff

I'd think that should be suitable, just order two fuses so you always have a spare to hand (and don't forget the cable terminations for it).

As lynall mentioned, there isn't much room in the battery box to run cables from the battery to a fuse holder, and then from the fuse holder to the front of the seat box.

Ok, so I should fuse it, possibly with a mega fuse holder and 150amp fuse? Something like this?

Thats nice but the one I used has a snap on black plastic cover, they still need some sort of protective snot as they can corrode.

Soooo...can someone borrow some Anderson plugs out the (cough) stores for little me?:D

Not at our place its almost cavity searches on the gate, they even come around during our tea breaks wanting to look in our lockers!
This is the first job ive had in 30 years where I have had to buy my own engine oil, its fooking expensive you know!
Andersons heap enough off of ebay incl the fuses and holders.

I did have a work out some months back and I reckon this one site spends over a million per annum on security alone.
