Theirs always something going wrong with one of them, we run 3 on the farm, 2 aways in use and one for when one breaks down,
Sounds over the top maybe but we rent land from blandford to salisbury hear and their so spend most of the day traveling to livestock all over the place, and have to have a towable vehicle at all times in case animals get out etc.
Only as of lately their has been times when all 3 are broke, and its been out with the tractor for back up!
Their is 2 garages we use, but we have to get landy their and normally wait few days for the repair, where as if their is someone that can come out to us and fix it, on farm/field/road where ever it might happen would be useful for a back up.
Have one in garage at mo, 110, when hot it cuts out, they changed filters sent it back, next time it was used did it again, back in had fuel pump changed, get it back still doing it! back in again now, 3rd time lucky i guess.
Would the fuel pump be sounding like a strangled cat when it cuts out by any chance?
yeah it did before they changed it, now it makes a bit noise bit like what it always had done before it started playing up cutting out, only you can hear the fuel trickling through if that makes sense. like it is filling an empty jar?.
Hi all,
was wondering if anyone knew or was a mobile mechanic that did call out, to farm/field etc land rover repairs in the Blandford Dorset area.
thanks in advance for any help
never i dont think, it just gets its fuel and oil filters changed along with air filter, once a year on a service, most other stuff breaks before and gets replaced lol, thats landys for you. do you recon this injector seal could be the issue, it is still in the garage and i havent heard what they found out yet, will mention this to them.
thank you for your help on it.
Thank you very much for that Five pot's will give them a go.
Might well be that Ratty, if it continues that will be the next thing we will check out.
We did pick it back up today they couldn't find anything else wrong with it, they drove it several miles and it has not done it to them,
My dad drove it back home tonight and it got him home, problem is he is now just expecting it to leave him stranded somewhere again as nothing showed up.
They did say it could have had an air lock and it has just sorted itself out? as it is auto bleed or something? with luck that will be so, guess time will tell.
Thank you very much for your kind help and advice with it.
