Another problem with the loom that came with the engine I bought. Not only are the connectors for the EGR modulator missing, but there are also two multiplugs missing that connect to the engine compartment fusebox. Shown above. What are these for and are they essential?

So just confirm you bought a harness for a D2 Td5 and you are sure it's not a Defendser loom ?... don't rely on scrappers cos they don't care, for them a Td5 is just a lump, they have no ideea about differencies

I bought an engine and the harness is the one that came with the engine. I still have my original harness. Would I be better just using my original harness? If the engine was from a defender then would it still work with my loom and ECU? Thanks.

Yes, the engine will work with your ECU as long as it's the same(10P or 15+P) and the injector codes are saved in the ECU... also if you are not sure that the engine was removed from a D2 (and it seems it wasnt based on the lack of some plugs) better use the original D2's harness

Thanks for that. The injectors are from the original engine and put back in the same order. I will use the original harness. The glow plug connectors were damaged on removal. Parts of the shrouds are missing on some. Is that likely to cause any major problems?
