Yup this is definitely LandyZone. Post number 18 and not one bugger has come up with any details for his alternator.

Did you lose your hole finger? That would really **** the missus off.
 
sorry to hear of your finger mate,and your alternater should be 65amp,apperantly a 300tdi 100amp alternater will fit if you swap the pulley over or some ford v6 engine alternaters will fit

Thanks for the support made chuckle. Will try and figure out how at add photos off my I phone and post it on ASAP. Lol still chuckling and the mrs is as sympathetic as a spoon. Quote " what were you doing that for in the dark for any way" lol

Not the biggest injury in the world but it still hurt like F**K !!!

Yep thats gonna hurt :eek: Look on the bright side.......one less nail to try and clean after getting doused in sump oil :welcome2:

BTW
A 2nd battery is another option, esp for the winch as even a 100amp alternator wont keep up with the sorta power a winch is gonna draw

Thanks peeps, mad git yep need to be careful I don't get a burst through or there's a chance of infection. As for the alternator new one fitted at my mates garage £40 Inc vat and fitted for free. Took sympathy on me after laughing for around an hour.;) and am now getting every finger derived joke you could think of text to me on the hour lol
