No in fact it has never rained in Australia, all of their rain is imported from the Midlands

Though fair point on the wheel arch, I wonder if there's a crack/hole/anything thats throwing the water into the air intake. Its a strange one to say the least.

banks your right it doesn't rain it actually pours down ... that roads are blocked off ..and small towns are blocked off months on end no one in or out .... or when small towns have road train company deliver there supplys before the wet season

like I say I don't do many water crossings with my Td5 but when the turbo is on boost it is like a dyson vacuum just like any other turbo

I'll take another look at the wheel arch area and air intake on the wing.

inside the wheel arch is also location of the rubber duck make sure this isn't obstructed

just squeezed mine it was full of sand
