Pikies, innit!

They're a social underclass who have no respect, nor value, of other people's property. The FB report from the land owner states they were tearing about his field in another vehicle which they also set light to. Clearly burning out vehicles to hide all traces they were their in the first place.

This Honda burnt out same night, same location

Unless it has been used on a crime you have to ask what really was the point of it all?
It so annoying when you see this s*** and know nothing will happen to the people who carried it out.
They do it for fun. They have little of their own and they're hated by society. So they get a kick out of doing it in revenge. Burning corrupts the evidence left behind.

The law, where it exists, is way to weak in this country. I wouldn't be surprised if the police would know exactly where the local site is but can't be bothered to do anything, just seen as another insurance claim.
To go into a traveller site they kit themselves up in riot gear. They have to go in high numbers. They risk getting a kicking. They risk being shot at anorl.

Still doesn't give them the excuse not to deal with them, does it?
It wasn't so long ago a police officer was killed by the same "ethnic minority group" after stealing some quad bikes. Everyone was up in arms and at last it looked something might change, sadly it didn't.
I respect the police but as a government run organisation they are b****y useless.

They seem to only go in when there's a strong reason. Wouldn't surprise me if officers choose not to. You can only go in in a large group, and it will still kick oft. That takes up a lot of resources and time. There's loads of push back on them being picked on etc. On this occasion they probably won't know who nicked the vehicle or have evidence.

Well, yes of course. But in general they never go in if they can help it.
The conviction rate in regards to car theft is appalling, last time I looked the MET police conviction rate was running at 2%. At that rate they might aswell give up ................
Oh hang on a minute, they have!

My local Police Officer told me they had been instructed "not to enter Traveller sites" and "not to give chase" if Travellers are suspected to be behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Its a difficult problem. Often cars are taken and there's no evidence so the police have nowt to investigate. It literally disappears. If there's cctv it may be poor quality or they have a hood up or mask on. Sometimes they dun't know which direction it went and/or the time it was taken. I see it regular on a local news group. We also see it on ere. Anpr camera's will track its route but changing the plates gets round this. Or its well hiden by the time its reported stolen. It leaves the police stuck.
