Ah - you're talking about modern 'uns. Military series door-tops only have the rear half of the window able to open.
On the new'uns the division is diagonal as well, whereas on the old'uns it's vertical.

Well, mine are from 1980. I thought it only changed fairly recently (with the Wolf) but if you're saying the 110s had windows that slide both ways then perhaps it was earlier. Then again, the military were still taking delivery of Series 3s 2 years after the 110 was introduced, so there's no telling how long they carried-on with stuff like old door-tops etc.

I'll check in the morning - we're running an early 110s (well four of them) from the late 80's early 90's at work currently. All NA 2.5D - the youngsters thought they were about to give up the game because they struggle to get 60 :)

My 1980 SIII had the older straight slidey-glass ones. And yes, they rusted like no-ones business!
The early 90/110s ive seen had both types fitted, then again, so did alot of the Series Vehicles I've seen. I guess it came down to what parts they had in stock to fit the vehicle.
