HI Chaps and Chapesses.
After having all the usual things done to boost the performance on my 97 300tdi Disco. Alli sport I/ cooler, Alli turbo. All the silicon hoses. And the ecu time box. I was after extensive buggering about not quite getting the performance I wanted , so took off the MAF and gave it a good clean, yes a better performance but noticed the MAF was grey and very clean before I did it, got me thinking it maybe running lean. Then I changed the hoses from the turbo to the MAF and MAF to the airbox with silicon, again better, not loads but better. Anyway decided to go to a friends farm and thrash the crap out of it, noticed two flat spots around 3500 in 2nd and 3rd "auto" as it changed. Just kept my foot floored, when the flat spots went it thru me literally into the seat, **** was great. Anyway here's the Miller part. While I was doing this my mate said bloody heel the exhaust is crystal clear not a puff of smoke are you using millers diesel additive, no I said, he said it's great give it a go, he uses it in his trooper. Anyway put some in, ran it for a day then went back, I had noticed a difference seemed smoother. Ok back to thrashing it. Was quicker on the up, flat spot very minimal. But hell of a lot quieter and smoother, this telling me something is not set up right. I could tweak the tune box a little until it smokes a little and then turn it back a turn. But what I really want is a garage in the Yorkshire area with a 4x4 rolling road who can really set it up and knows his stuff, any ideas?? The millers really made a difference in fact Been using it since and it's bloody brill.
Thanks Grez
