yesterday after long looking for a project to keep me busy i was offered this little stunner
she's an ex-irish army 2A,originally a fill tilt canvas pick-up
she's a 2.25 petrol running sweet as a nut and on the button every time
my plans for her are a full irish army spec restoration and to get her army history
the bulkhead is all good, the tub is very straight and not cracked and the chassis is mint(whatever the army use is amazingly good)
i will have more pics up as soon as possible as i have already begun the strip down for paint
heres some pics i took on the day i got her
here's some work i done today, started getting the truck bed ready for paint, wasnt too fussy on the finish once i got most of the old paint off and etched for primer
starting surface after getting the wire brush to it
first coat of paint removal
ready for an etch coat
etch dusting coat
2 coats of etch primer
some progress from today
i have the tub done fully in acid etch up to the galvanized rim
pic of her beside my disco
tub sprayed
some work yesterday, getting the tub ready for acid etch and priming
some more sanding progress,i wont be taking the dents out,an ex-army landy with straight panel's????? just doesnt work
anywho, just the back of the cab,the bonnet and the interior left for sanding and i can go mad with etch
