An I right in thinking the wheels with the pimples will fit thanks in advance
Wheels with the dimples do fit your 2002. However some later 04 onwards wheels didn't have the dimples. These would still fit without a problem. My 05 16" wheels don't have dimples.

Where's that sodding post that had all the different wheels, sizes, makes that would fit.
I know I'm not dreaming, I think it was middle of last year.
Help me, I'm going nuts:confused:

I remember it because my '99 L Series and my MY01 1.8 both had the same 5 spoke wheels - but the thread said that the 1.8 would be 6 spoke - which was ridiculous, I know how many spokes there are on my wheels and they are identical 5 spoke. I even went out to the garage to check them... and yes the 1.8 was sitting on 6 spoke wheels :)

I've had a search and can't find the thread.

Searching though did find lots of other threads discussing the different pre/post MY01 wheels :)

Maybe we should put a thread together on wheels. Containing all information needed, like part numbers, sizes, offset and fitment. Maybe add pictures of them for identification. I'm sure that between a few of us, we have most wheels available that can provide the information needed.
It might be worth asking if it can be made a sticky.

Yup, use the "simple dimple" rule for later cars - if there are dimples between the wheel nuts, they'll fit a later (post 2001) car without problem.

Smooth wheels generally won't (but some do), but best not to risk it if buying from eBay.

Ok I have found a set local going to get them tomorrow going to get a set of modulars to but unsure where to get them at the minute

OE wheels are fine.
Be aware that Modulars aren't hub-centric. This means that the only things keeping them fixed and true to the hub, are the studs. I wouldn't fit them myself. I went for 17" factory Trek alloys with decent tyres of larger size than standard.

I have older wheels fitted to my 02 car with cheapo ebay 5mm spacers, I stupidly bought the wheels thinking all 16" would fit and had new tyres fitted before trying them on. No problems so far and no vibrations.
What size are the spacers? Any more than 5mm might be a problem if they don't have a spiggot. Are you sure the wheels don't just need balanced?
