Looking at buying a mig welder have been looking at the sealey ones on ebay for about £250 all in 150amp ones. I am new to welding and hope not to be using all the time so your advice will be much appreciated.
 
bought a new both gasless and gas 150 amp turbo mig from cookes of bedford, deliverd for £175...plus free welders gloves I`ll never use.
watch it on LZ facebook, my 15 year old grandaughters using it to mig weld !!

heavy bit of kit, £££`s cheaper than anywhere else.
machine mart & others want fortunes for the same thing, but in a different body..

Oh, just remembered, I had to buy the gas bottle regulator, but look in EBAY and you should find the "kit" delivered for about £12 I think... a few minuets to connect with instructions included..

same model I got from "cooks"
but without the gas and wire, but came with gassless wire.
this is what else I purchased, sorry was not £12 but £19.99

Kennedy Welders Gas Bottle Connection / Conversion Kit | eBay

if your mig comes set for gassless,
(as mine was - its a simple 2 wire swop inside the wire cabinet)
dont forget to turn round wire feed wheel to 0.06 wire if you using that along with gas bottle kit..
happy days...

I aready had the wire spools plus bottles of various gasses...
It seems I cant go into machine mart without buying "supplies"
must be the male version of wimmin and handbag shops.... :rolleyes:

I know the feeling if it's shiny you want it nothing wrong with that least you can fix or make money with are stuff.

That's part of the reason why I'm getting one I ended up having to put a hole new bulkhead corner on as it was just rot underneath that old door hinge. but you need one owning a land rover and it's something I've always wanted to have a go at.
 
good luck with it mate i,ve just clipped out the old driverside one on my boys series two lovely fun & games just got the passenger side now. if you get the replacements from matey near you make sure he puts the bloody clip hole in he forgot too on the set he sent me had to spend an extra ten minutes setting the plasma up to cut the hole
