Metal in sump

hi knowledgable folk. After cleaning out my sump and resealing it I found a piece of metal that looks like Its from the engine block itself. It looks to me like a blind bolt hole that’s had a bolt put in to far and scabbed off. Engine is completely fine and runs well.

I would be looking at the front inside of the block as some of the timing chest bolts are quite long, and it is easy to get the many different lengths mixed up.

Agreed, the wrong bolt was used and overtightened.
You might find an oil leak (!) on a bolt, a sealing washer will sort that.
